Eid Mubarak

Family, friends and food

Eid al-Fitr is all about being together with family and friends. People greet each other with “Eid Mubarak”, which means a blessed holiday in Arabic. After prayers, everyone comes together to eat and exchange Eid gifts. It’s tradition to visit the eldest family members' home and bring sweets and gifts.

Food is very important during Eid al-Fitr. The most delicious things are made to celebrate the end of the Ramadan fast. Meat stews and curries, tagine dishes, and sweet desserts such as Sheer vermicelli milk, date biscuits called Ma’amoul, baklava and chebakia (fried dough with honey) … and lots, lots more.

Eid Mubarak!

Family, friends, good food and Eid gifts. These are the ingredients for a smashing Eid al-Fitr celebration. We wish you a happy Ramadan and a wonderful Eid al-Fitr this year. Eid Mubarak!
